| Day 2: Tuesday, November 20, 2007: Pass through the narrow channels: Moraleda Channel, Pulluche Channel, Bahia (Bay) Anna Pink, Arca Oceanica, Golfo (Gulf of) de Penas.
The route passes through narrow channels with calm waters. However, the channels do not pierce all the way south, requiring us to turn right into the Pacific Ocean sometime during the afternoon of Day 2, eventually reaching the ocean at sunset. By morning, we would veer left into the Golfo de Penas and back into the calmer waters of the channels. There was some apprehension about the rocking of the boat during its ocean stretch and several took the offer of the cheap tablets offered by the staff. |
